The Wolds Community Transport Project was initiated in the late 1980 by residents concerned by the increasing lack of transport opportunities in our rural communities.
The Project soon became registered with the Charity Commission, and still remains a charity to this day – registration number 1055288.
The Project was initially supported financially by both East Lindsey District Council and West Lindsey District Council. However, the impact of funding cuts by subsequent Governments resulted in this support being initially reduced and then removed altogether, which has resulted in the Project becoming an independently self funded organisation. This has now been the case for well over a decade.
Those that hire the minibus represent a wide range of community groups and organisations, who are affiliated to the Project.
